Kashrus
Kosher Store and Shechita
Much effort has been invested in the refurbishment of the Pinsk kosher store - now under the management of Mr Elchonon Litke.
The food is imported from other countries, incurring a large expense, and is available to the members of Jewish communities nationwide. The store now stocks a full range of Kosher groceries and Judaica.
There are also kosher stores in the schools, helping the boys and girls to keep kashrus in a country where so little kosher goods are available.
The Shechita takes place in Mogilev and Bobruisk a few times a month. Drivers bring the chickens to Pinsk where they are used for the communal kitchens and for the families.
Soup Kitchen
For some, wholesome food cannot be afforded on a daily basis. The communal soup kitchen provides nourishment for those in need.
