Yeshivas Pe'er Yisroel
Bochurim as Role Models
Throughout the years Pinsk has welcomed many Yeshiva Bochorim who have acted as counsellors for the boys, teaching them Torah and providing them with the Yeshivish atmosphere, in particular during the Yom Tovim and holidays when Yad Yisroel run camps. They felt the joys of teaching and the responsibility of leading by example.
The idea to establish a yeshiva was to both continue the past progress as well as ensuring a permanent establishment able to nourish and affect all the elements of the Kehilla.
A Place to Learn and Grow
Yeshivas Pe'er Yisroel now boasts twenty varied bochurim from Israel, England, America, Switzerland and France. Here's a small picture of what this amazing establishment is doing to Yiddishkeit in the former Soviet Union:
With Rav Elchonon Rosenfeld, the Rosh Yeshiva, and Rav Moshe Fhima, the yeshiva bochurim have a continual and leveled source of support in both their learning as well as all fields of Yiddishkeit and hashkafa. Shiurim and one-to-one study are available at most times on any topic the bochur is interested in.
Outreach
The idea of this Yeshiva is to combine differing purposes; A regular Seder hayom as in ordinary yeshivas, experience a kesher with the Beis Aharon Boys School including both teaching the boys as well as creating a frum and gishmak ruach for them, Community work including working with the elderly Kehilla members, spreading Yiddishkeit throughout Belarus including Shabbatons and events in nearby cities, and overall making a big Kiddish Hashem.
The Right Place
Pinsk in character has shown to be a fantastic town to host a Yeshiva. With the lack of distractions that normal European cities have to offer as well as being in very short range to open countryside, the bochurim have found healthy and constructive ways of being occupied whilst not learning or doing community projects.
