Chanukah

Children all over the world wait with anticipation for Chanukah, and in our schools in Pinsk it is no different.
Preparations began many weeks earlier as the children of the schools and orphanage began practicing for the annual Chanukah performance for the local Yidden.
Every evening of Chanukah our children would gather to light candles, sing songs and enjoy a special program allowing them to feel and appreciate the miracles of Chanukah with joy.
Many of the older students would go to houses of the sick and elderly (many of them holocaust survivors) to light candles with them and enlighten their lives by singing for them and treating them with doughnuts and latkes.
In the Minsk Educational center there were various Chanukah programs for the different age groups.
