Besides the various Shiurim on Chol Hamoed – thanks to the generosity of our supporters – the children participated in various activities both locally and out of town.
This year with a long Chol Hamoed, it was more important than ever to give the children a full packed Chol Hamoed so they could relate to Pesach with fun and happiness.
One of the highlights of Chol Ha’moed in Pinsk, is the Seuda commemorating the Yohrtzeit of Reb Aharon Hagodol of Karlin zt”l, who is buried in Pinsk- which the community celebrated together. Reb Aharon a talmid of the Maggid of Mezeritch zt”l, was the first Rebbe of the Karlin Stolin dynasty. Being in the same city where the Tzadik lived and is buried, and attending a school bearing his name, the students feel a special connection to the Tzadik. Davening on the Yohrtzeit was in the very same Shul where Reb Aharon Hagodol davened. ZY”A, This year’s Yohrtzeit had an extra special meaning since last year we did not have the zechus to be in Pinsk with our Rabbi, Reb Yochonon Berman, due to Covid 19. This year, when we saw how Hashem had mercy on us and kept the community intact, we felt that the Tzadik looked after us!!
